Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq stated that, according to a notification released, this historic move to lower fees would give a fresh boost to Pak-Afghan relations. Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq remarked that fee reductions would allow Afghan students to complete their education.
The tuition at all KMU-managed medical and dental schools has been decreased to Rs7,50,000 for Afghan students.
Tuition for Afghan students at KMU and medical and dental institutes would be reduced from Rs800,000 to Rs50,000.
Afghan officials requested a fee decrease during a recent meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of KMU.
It should be noted that an annual fee of Rs800,000 was set for Afghan students beginning with the current academic year; however, the fee has been reduced in order to strengthen relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan and to allow Afghan students to pursue their education in Pakistan without hardship.
