KARACHI: The entrance examination for a five-year degree programme Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) of the Institute of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation (IPTR-JSMU) was recently held at Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU).
According to Dr Fatima Abid, Director Admissions, JSMU, out of thousands of applications received, roughly 1200 applicants were eligible to compete for a total of 100 seats of DPT. Ninety of these seats were open merit, and ten were self-financed, she explained.
Prof Shahid Rasul, Acting Vice-Chancellor, JSMU, praised the examination arrangements to assist a substantial number of candidates. Dr Mohammad Khan, Director, Institute of Physical Therapy, JSMU, inspected the test centres with Dr Azam Khan, Registrar, and Waheed Baloch, administrative officer.
Office of Admissions organised the entrance examination at two JSMU cluster centres and provided invigilators and supporting staff across Campus 1 and 2.
