Sindh Police officials in custody for smuggling ammunition

KARACHI: Pakistan Railways Police, a federal law enforcement agency, foiled an attempt to transfer weaponry from Peshawar to Karachi during a raid and arrested two Sindh police personnel.

The Pakistan Railways Police thwarted an attempt at arms smuggling in Karachi by detaining two Sindh police officials who were allegedly transporting illegal firearms from Peshawar.

The raiding team discovered weapons concealed by the accused in a sack. The suspects were Sindh police officers, the railway police stated. The accused has been charged, and interrogation is currently proceeding, according to Pakistan Railways Police.
