LAHORE: Faisal Farid, Director-General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab, presided over the video connection conference with District Emergency Operation Centers officers throughout Punjab. Khalid Farooq, Director of Operations, was also present at the meeting was PDMA. 

While briefing the DG PDMA on the cleaning of lines, the DG PDMA instructed the officials of District Emergency Operations Centers that, according to the Meteorological Department, there will be additional rain in several cities of Punjab during the next five days.

He stated that rain is forecast, with further precipitation likely to produce urban floods in the Gujranwala, Sargodha, and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions. 

The drainage should be guaranteed promptly. Punjab district offices should be on 24-hour alert to respond to any unexpected occurrence.

The amount of water in your districts, as well as the number of drains inspected daily, and the implementation of a zero-tolerance policy in cleaning drains and drains, DG PDMA said they should have comprehensive information about their districts where urban flooding is a problem.

The Director-General of the PDMA added that all officials should thoroughly study the issued guidance and guarantee its execution. Daily data must be posted to the PDMA site, and emergency reports must be made to the appropriate agencies.
