KARACHI: Dr Hiba Hamid Mir, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre's (JPMC) Woman Medical Officer, Nazmeen Umer, Staff Vaccinator and core members in the COVID-19 team of District South Vaccination Center, Karachi, received certificates of acknowledgement by Asad Umar, Chairman, National Command Operation Center (NCOC), in a special ceremony.
The session was dedicated to presenting performance awards for achieving a record percentage of fully vaccinated citizens in specified districts and commending the staff members and nurses for demonstrating compassion and courage during the challenging times of COVID-19.
Prof Shahid Rasul, Acting Vice-Chancellor, JSMU and Executive Director, JPMC, expressed pride and lauded the staff of JPMC and said that ''Faced with the global Pandemic, JPMC staff and nurses have seen and met the utmost challenges while adapting new ways of tackling emergency healthcare situations.''
Irshad Sodhar, Deputy Commissioner, District South, Dr Muhammad Ahmad Kazi, District Health Officer, South, Dr Raj Kumar, Assistant District Health Officer, Sara Javed Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), South, Dr Muhammad Adnan, Focal Person for COVID-19 queries, Rana Mubashir Ali, Data Entry Operator, also received certificates of appreciation in the session held at NCOC Islamabad.
