The federal cabinet meeting was presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during which the Ministry of Health delivered a report on the increase in drug prices.
In this regard, Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, denied the summary of the increased cost of medicines. Moreover, he stated that, under the existing circumstances, a rise in drug prices could not be permitted.
It should be remembered that the federal cabinet also rejected the price increase summary for 35 medications last month.
The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) issued the Ministry of Health a summary of the price increases of more than 40 drugs, although the Ministry of Health had already submitted the price increases of numerous medicines for approval.
