LAHORE: A meeting was conducted at the office of the Chief Minister of Punjab to discuss ways to improve the utility and efficacy of the health card programme.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi offered an in-principle agreement for the addition of new hospitals to the list of those accepting health cards.
In addition, more ailments will be treatable using health cards; he announced and approved the addition of CyberKnife, a sophisticated surgery technique, to the health card programme. Under Imran Khan's vision, the health card scheme would be enhanced, and the provincial government has begun giving emergency ward patients free medications.
