PMA and YDA condemn the brutal attack on senior doctor

KARACHI: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) and Young Doctors Association (YDA) have strongly condemned the brutal attack on a senior eye surgeon at a private hospital of Karachi by the relative of a patient without knowing the reason for the complications of the surgery.

The PMA Sindh and PMA Karachi sympathises with Dr Azam and Dr Shahnila and demands a fair inquiry of this incidence. They demanded exemplary punishment for the responsible person.

They demanded an immediate and impartial judicial inquiry and punishment as per the law.

Similarly, the Young Doctors Association (YDA) Civil Hospital Karachi condemned this brutal attack on senior doctors and demanded strict action against the culprit. They hoped that the Health Department would take it seriously and move the resolution to the assembly.

They urged the Sindh government to pass a resolution/act from the Sindh Assembly for the protection and safety of healthcare providers.
