All set for five-day anti-polio drive in Sukkur

SUKKUR: As many as 113,978 children under five years would receive anti-polio drops during the door-to-door campaign in Sukkur district from Feb 26 to March 2.

This was announced by Sukkur deputy commissioner, who was presiding over a meeting which was told that the district administration has completed arrangements for launching the five-day anti-polio campaign aimed at administering anti-polio drops to children under the age of five.

The DC further stated that over 115 mobile teams have been constituted to ensure the protection of children from disabilities by administering anti-polio drops.

He added that polio camps would be operational at bus stands, hospitals, railway stations, and other public venues.

The meeting was attended by the district health officer, representatives from Rotary, WHO, and other relevant officials.
