KARACHI: The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) has achieved a significant milestone with the relocation of its Family Medicine Clinics to a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility at the Korangi Campus. This strategic move underscores IHHN’s dedication to enhancing healthcare access and delivering high-quality medical services to underserved communities across Pakistan.
The Family Medicine Clinics serve as a cornerstone of IHHN’s outpatient department (OPD), providing a critical first point of contact for patients. These clinics emphasize preventive care, continuity in treatment, and seamless referrals to specialist consultants for complex medical cases.
Now operating within a cutting-edge facility, the clinics are better equipped to meet the rising demand for outpatient services. The expanded OPD infrastructure features 117 clinics designed to cater to over 1.16 million patients annually, offering free and comprehensive healthcare services to those in need.
The relocation of the Family Medicine Clinics marks the initial phase of a broader OPD expansion strategy. Specialty clinics, including pediatrics, ENT, dermatology, and cardiology, are set to transition to the new facility in upcoming phases. This phased approach integrates advanced medical infrastructure with the expertise of IHHN’s skilled professionals to ensure uninterrupted care and optimal patient outcomes.
The transition of the Family Medicine Clinics was executed seamlessly, ensuring continuous care throughout the process. Patients have praised the enhanced facilities and the unwavering dedication of IHHN’s medical teams.
Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President of IHHN, and Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi, CEO, expressed their gratitude to the staff, donors, and the Government of Sindh for their vital support in realizing this milestone. Their collective efforts reflect IHHN’s mission to provide equitable healthcare to all, fostering hope and healing across communities.
This relocation is a testament to IHHN’s innovative approach to healthcare delivery. With plans for further expansion and the integration of advanced technology, the network remains steadfast in its mission to address Pakistan’s pressing healthcare needs.
The generosity of donors and the financial contributions of the Government of Sindh have been instrumental in bringing this transformative project to life. As IHHN progresses with its expansion, it reaffirms its commitment to delivering exceptional care and improving the lives of millions.
