WELLINGTON: NEW ZEALAND offers nurses and paramedical staff, a new opportunity to practice residency in the country as it faces an acute shortage of medical staff.
Prime Minister, New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern said upgradation of immigration laws can allow those that are eligible for residency to start practicing in the country as soon as possible.
According to New Zealand's Nurses Organisation, there is a need or at least 4000 more nurses in the country.
The Prime Minister believes that the country needs to be "as competitive as we can be” in order to fill the gaps in healthcare and the paramedical force
