Karachi: In the fear of medicine shortage, the Federal Ministry has written letter to Finance Minister to open LCs as soon as possible to avoid crises.
Sources of Health Ministry said Pakistan can face acute shortage of medicine in upcoming months as pharma companies stock almost near to the end of the year.
The Drug Regularly Authority Pakistan has written letter on the recommendations of Health Ministry.
According to the PPMA, the Indian raw material companies have declared Pakistan as default.
The Chinese and Indian companies have refused to pay raw material on debt. On other hand , Pakistan Medical Association says if State Banks of Pakistan do not resolve the matter of opening LCs then the country can face shortage of drugs and medical devices.
