HU Convocation - Prof Atta exhorts graduates to serve humanity

KARACHI: The 20^thConvocation of Hamdard University was held here recently at Abdul Moueed Hall of Bait-ul-Hikma. Eminent scientist and former federal minister for Science & Technology Prof Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman was chief guest on the occasion. The ceremony was attended, among others, by Hamdard University’s Chancellor Madam Sadia Rashid, Vice Chancellor Hakim Abdul Hannan, faculty members, students and their parents.

The event which began with recitation from Holy Quran was followed by fresh graduates’ oath-taking ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ata-ur-Rehman exhorted the fresh graduates to serve the human beings with utmost devotion, besides making sincere efforts for the betterment of their profession.

He also congratulated all the graduates and their parents on this memorable day.

Later, Head of Dentistry Department Prof Dr Nadeem Hafeez Khokhar felicitated the graduates and their parents.

Earlier, deans of different faculties delivered speeches, highlighting the achievements of their respective faculties and students.

Among the dental students, Nabeel Siddiqui, Ayesha Rafaqat and Al Hannof were awarded gold medals.-PR
