BAHAWALNAGAR: Extreme heat and exhaustion allegedly claimed life of a female polio worker who was performing duty during the anti-polio campaign in Bahawalnagar.
Hospital sources confirmed that Shabana Badar’s health rapidly deteriorated as a result of the intense heat and the demanding nature of her work.
She was immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital for treatment but, unfortunately, could not recover.
At the time of her passing, Badar was assigned to Team 30 in Union Council Nizampura.
Dr. Amir Raza, the focal person for the campaign, expressed his deep sorrow over the loss, saying, "Shabana Badar had been a dedicated worker with us for many years. She was exceptionally hardworking and fully committed to the anti-polio drive."
