PINS stands out with 50 research papers at national neurosurgery moot

LAHORE: Consultants and postgraduate residents from the Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS) presented over 50 research papers at the 37th Annual National Conference of the Pakistan Society of Neurosurgery, held at Aga Khan University in Karachi, attended by neurosurgeons and medical professionals from across the country.

This achievement earns PINS Lahore the "Award for Presenting the Most Research Papers" as a single institution.

Highlighting the milestone, PINS Executive Director Prof. Asif Bashir said, “We are committed to fostering excellence in medical research. By equipping our doctors and researchers with the necessary resources, we ensure their contributions gain recognition both nationally and internationally.”

Also contributing in global research, PINS’s postgraduate residents showcased 11 research papers at the 2024 AACNS Conference in Taiwan.

Dr. Haseeb and Dr. Manal, two of the researchers said, “With the guidance and support of Prof. Bashir, we have been able to bring recognition to our country on the global stage. These accomplishments underscore PINS’s robust research capabilities and mark a significant advance for neuroscience research in Pakistan.”
