Al-Mustafa Welfare Society to organise free eye camps

KARACHI - Al-Mustafa Welfare Society will organise free eye camps across the country for providing treatment to people sufferring from eye ailments.

Announcing this at a news conference at the Karachi Press Club, Al-Mustafa Welfare Society’s chief patron Haji Muhammad Hanif Tayyab said that initially eye camps will be set up in rural areas of Punjab and Azad Kashmir and the patients visiting the camps will be provided free medicine, lens and glasses.

First eye camp will be organised in Punjab’s Peer Mahal and the last camp at Chinniot on Dec 30, he said, adding that free eye camps would also be organised in other three provinces of the country in the second phase.

He hoped that around 100,000 people will be examined by medical teams at the eye camps to be organised countrywide.

At the outset, Haji Hanif Tayyab told newsmen that Al-Mustafa Welfare Society had been regularly organising free medical camps throughout Pakistan, especially in those areas of the country where people cannot even afford routine check-up of their eyes.
President Al-Mustafa Welfare Society Dr Abdul Raheem, Information Secretary Moin Khan and Qazi Noor-ul-Shams were also present at the press conference.
