LAHORE: Hamza Shahbaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, has requested a report on the death of animals in Cholistan owing to a lack of water and has ordered the commissioner of Bahawalpur to visit the afflicted areas to provide all possible support to the victims.

He stated that the livestock and wildlife departments must take prompt action to protect animals and required a report on the evaluation of animal loss.
In addition to relocating persons and animals near water reserves, he instructed that the situation be monitored around-the-clock and that feed, water, and food be provided for the inhabitants and their animals. He added that the administration should spare no effort in providing aid to the populace.
