SC seeks report on doctors safety in Baluchistan‏

ISLAMABAD- The Supreme Court directed the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior to submit comprehensive report over the prevailing law and order situation in the Balochistan province. The three-member bench of the apex court was headed by Justice Nasir-ul- Mulk who resumed the hearing of this case.

Attorney for Balochistan government Shahid Hamid apprised the court that; the provincial government has chalked out a plan for the safety of Doctors and out of 80 doctors recommended by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) foolproof security have been provided to 16 doctors. He said that Rs 20,000 expenditure occurred on the safety of each doctor and total expenditure is Rs 300 million.

The court adjourned the hearing till 13th February and is seeking detailed report from Ministries of Defence and Interior.
