KARACHI: The air quality in two major Pakistani cities, Karachi and Lahore, has been detrimental to human health.
According to the Air Quality Index (AQI), the air in Karachi, the capital of Sindh, and Lahore, the capital of Punjab, is hazardous to one's health.
According to the facts, due to the change in weather, the air quality has again become contaminated, while Lahore and Karachi rank first and second, respectively, among the most polluted cities in the world.
According to the Air Quality Index, particle matter levels in Lahore are 162, and in Karachi, they are 157.
It must be mentioned that pollution between 151 and 200 degrees harms health. Comparatively, pollution between 201 and 300 degrees damages health, while pollution beyond 301 degrees is hazardous.
