Previously, Aman Ambulances were rebranded and launched as the Sindh Rescue and Medical Services (SRMS) in June 2019 by the Sindh Health Minister, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho. This development was brought about as a fulfillment of Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah’s earlier promise made on the floor of the Sindh Assembly on September 30, 2018.

“We are looking forward to expanding the fleet size to cater to Karachi's 20 million-plus population,” she remarked, adding that a similar project, the Sindh People’s Ambulance Service, is already being run the AHCS successfully in the Thatta and Sujawal districts for the last three years.

Shazina Masud, CEO, Aman Health Care Services, said, “We are grateful to the Government of Sindh for putting their trust in Aman Health Care Services. We are continuously striving to serve Karachiites and provide emergency services on international standards.”

“I would also like to especially commend and congratulate the entire fleet staff of SRMS on this momentous occasion without whose selfless service this lifesaving work would never have been possible,” she added.

SRMS with a current fleet size of 60 lifesaving ambulances is a unique and one of its kind service available only in Karachi, that includes Basic Life Support ambulances that are meant for emergency responses, Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support ambulances that are equipped with AED machines, cardiac monitors, a full complement of emergency medicines, and trained paramedics for critical cases. These lifesaving ambulances are run on an internationally certified Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) along with the latest medical equipment, lifesaving drugs, and trained medical staff.

More than 1.1 million lifesaving interventions have been conducted since the initiation of Aman Ambulances over a decade ago, out of which 102,606 lifesaving interventions have been made by the SRMS since this partnership with the Government of Sindh.
