KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) condemns the brutal attack on Dr Abdul Sattar Sheikh, Medical Superintendent Chandka Medical College Larkana, at his clinic.
He was viciously tortured and the offenders are continually threatening him and his family for dire consequences. The culprits involved in this heinous crime are still at large and the police seem to be reluctant for taking any legal action against these criminals.
Unfortunately incidents of violence against healthcare workers are incessantly taking place in the province of Sindh. This is not acceptable to PMA. The culprits must be immediately arrested and brought to the court of law for exemplary punishment.
The PMA demanded Chief Minister of Sindh and Health Minister of Sindh to take notice of the incident and provide foolproof security to the doctors in the province so they can keep on working with peace of mind.
PMA warns that if the government fails to take strict action against the culprits then we reserve the right to protest.
