High alert declared in 13 KMC hospitals during PSL proceedings

KARACHI: The Medical & Health Services Department, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), has declared a high alert in all the health facilities of the KMC during the fourth edition matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) taking place at National Stadium, Karachi.

On the directives of the Mayor of Karachi, a high alert has been declared in 13 hospitals of KMC during the PSL matches for 2019. In-Charge Rescue 1122 ambulances services have been directed to remain on high alert with ambulances and staff.  They have been instructed to prepare a duty roaster and submit it to the Senior Director of the Medical & Health Services Office.

The heads and medical superintendents have been directed to make a contingency plan and the necessary arrangements.

The high alert has been declared in the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD), Sarfraz Rafiqui Shaheed Hospital, Sobhraj Maternity Hospital (SMH), Landhi Medical Complex, Spencer Eye Hospital, Landhi Cardiac Centre, Shah Faisal Cardiac Centre, Homeopathic Hospital Nazimabad, Leprosy Hospital Manghopir, Gazdarabad Maternity & General Hospital (GMGH) and other healthcare facilities to cater to any eventuality.
