ISLAMABAD: Dengue larvae have been detected at 250 locations across the federal capital last week, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfan Nawaz Memon was told at a recent meeting.
The DC urged the residents of the city to play their role in controlling the spread of dengue, according to a spokesman from the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration.
The meeting reviewed ongoing initiatives and campaigns aimed at eradicating the larvae.
Officials informed the DC that no dengue cases were reported in the city last week.
The deputy commissioner highlighted the importance of community involvement in maintaining clean homes and surroundings to prevent the breeding of dengue-carrying mosquitoes.
The health department also urged all citizens to contribute to this public health effort.
The district administration is implementing various measures, but these steps will only be effective with public cooperation, the spokesman added.
