18,598 health professionals administered COVID-19 vaccine in Sindh

KARACHI: As many as 18,598 frontline healthcare professionals have been administered the COVID-19 vaccine in the Sindh province, noted an official at the Sindh Health Department.

According to the data shared by the Sindh Health Department, a total of 18,598 healthcare professionals have been vaccinated in the Sindh province since 2nd February 2021 out of which 2,453 were vaccinated at the Khaliq Dina Hall Vaccination Centre Karachi, 1146 at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, 1695 at the Dow University of Health Sciences Ojha Campus, 2486 at the Sindh Government Qatar Hospital Orangi, 675 at the Sindh Government Hospital New Karachi, 1267 at the Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad, 666 at the Sindh Government Children Hospital, 2003 at the Sindh Government Hospital Korangi No.5, and 1838 at the Malir Hospital.

Apart from Karachi,1542 frontline healthcare workers were immunized against the coronavirus at the Liaquat University of Medical Sciences (LUMS), and 2827 at the Shaheed Benazirabad’s MCH Centre.

The data further showed that 14,229 healthcare workers were vaccinated in Karachi in six days out of 18,598.
