The Umugiraneza Hospital of Kibimba in the region of Giheta performed cataract surgeries on 47 low-income individuals.
Angeline Ndayishimiye, the First Lady of Burundi, spoke highly of China's contributions to the advancement of public health in Burundi during a visit to the hospital.
Currently, Burundi's 20th Chinese medical mission has been in the nation for a full year of service.
Burundi has received free cataract surgeries from Chinese medical aid teams before 2016 and 2018.
