MN Report

LARKANA - Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Larkana and Chandka Teachers’ Association (CTA) have demanded of Sindh government to notify appointment of 39 faculty members of Benazir Bhutto Medical University (BBMU) without any further delay.

PMA Larkana district president Dr Shah Baig Chandio said that inordinate delay in issuing appointment letters to all those doctors who, a month ago, were selected as professors, associate professors, assistant professors and registrar and whose approval was granted by Syndicate, is causing unrest among postgraduate senior doctors.

He urged the authorities to issue the notification of all those appointments immediately, or else the vice chancellor of Chandka Medical College and Hospital will be responsible for the consequences.

CTA’s vice presidents Dr Shaista Hiffaz Abro, Dr Raja Lakhair and others regretted that although such appointments had been made in Mahar Medical College, Sukkur; People's Medical College, Nawabshah and Sindh University, BBMU was being ignored.
