KARACHI- The interviews of vice chancellor hopefuls for Dow University of Health Sciences will be held tomorrow at Chief Minister Sindh House. This time they are being held at the CM house instead of the Sindh Higher Education Commission office.
The search committee, formed by the Provincial government, comprises Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, Mazhar ul Haq Siddiqui, Former Chief Secretary Fazal ur Rehman and Dr Iqbal Durrani. Interviews of the six short listed candidates will be conducted by this committee.
The Search Committee called six candidates for interview including Prof Dr Noshad A Shaikh, Prof Saeed Ahmed Qureshi, Prof Umer Farooq, Prof Dr Amjad Siraj, Prof Dr Junaid Ashraf, and Prof Masroor Ahmed.
It is pertinent to mention here that the current Vice Chancellor Dow University, Prof Masood Hameed Khan, will retire on 15 September 2015 after completing the second tenure. The vice chancellor will be selected by the Chief Minister, Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
