Maryam Nawaz congratulates nation on the success of No-Confidence motion

ISLAMABAD: Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Vice President, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), congratulations citizens of Pakistan on sending Imran Khan home. 

On 10-April-2022, the National Assembly of Pakistan, under the speakership of Mr Ayaz Sadiq, counted the votes, and the opposition successfully secured 174 votes against Imran Khan. 

On 7th-April-2022 Supreme Court of Pakistan declared the ruling of Qasim Suri, Ex-Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, and ordered the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan to conduct the motion of no-confidence motion on 09-April-2022. 

On April 09-2022, after conducting a session for several hours, however, a few minutes before the end of the deadline, Asad Qaiser, Ex-Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan and Qasim Suri, Ex-Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, resigned. After their resignation, Mr Ayaz Sadiq took charge as Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
