Provincial Health Minister Instructs Completion of Vaccinator’s Biometrics

KARACHI- While presiding over a meeting, Provincial Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho directed the officials to complete the biometrics of the vaccinators of each district. The health committees at district levels would soon be made functional to monitor the performance of the vertical programs of  Sindh Health Department.


Additional Chief Secretary, Dr. Muhammad Usman Chachar also attended the meeting, briefed about 21,281 LHWs who were working across the province, while 743 LHSs were also performing their duties.


It was also revealed that the biometrics of LHWs in 29 districts had already been carried out, while in Sujawal, Badin, Karachi West, Karachi Central and Umerkot districts, IDs of LHWs had been opened and documents for the purpose in Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Jamshoro and Shaheed Benazirabad districts had also been submitted.


Dr. Pechuho instructed the concerned personnel that unnecessary leaves won’t be allowed in the department, and that the work timings will be from 9 am to 5 pm, respectively. Emphasis was also placed upon the syllabus and completion of training of the LHWs.


She also suggested that all stakeholders should work as a team, to achieve the goals of eradicating diseases from the province.
