PESHAWAR: In an alarming development a measles outbreak has been reported in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), where a sharp increase was witnessed in the disease cases.
According to the KP Health Department latest report, Bajaur district topped the list, with 21 measles patients admitted to Khar District Headquarters Hospital in just one week.
In addition, 21 cases were reported from Peshawar, 20 from Shangla, 17 from Dera Ismail Khan, and 11 from Malakand.
Other affected areas include Bannu and Dir Lower, with 10 cases each, while Lower Kohistan and Swabi reported 6 and 9 cases, respectively.
