Deadly dengue claims lives of two more people

KARACHI- The dengue viral fever claimed two more lives in Karachi at private hospital of Karachi on Saturday, taking the death toll to 11 in the city since 1st January 2017.


A 27-year old woman, Nasish,  resident of Landhi area of Karachi. The patient was brought in private hospital where she was diagnosed dengue.


She was died due to dengue fever last night. Similarly, Another 66-year old man Abdul Rasheed died of the disease at private hospital. He was resident of Tipu Sultan Road.


In 2017, A total 11 people including seven male and four female were  died from dengue fever in Karachi  this year so far while 1315 other were also affected by dengue fever in the city.


When contacted, Program manager, Prevention and Control Program of Dengue Sindh, Dr Abdul Rasheed Sheikh, denied deaths of two people due to dengue fever. He said  that they had not received any such information from any hospital in the city yet.
