KARACHI- The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) situated in Sukkur has been proving to be a state of the art cardiac health center, where well trained cardiologists are performing their duties and saving many lives.
Chief Operating Officer, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Azra Maqsood, informed that the cardiologists and support staff at NICVD, Sukkur, have successfully performed 100 adult heart bypass surgeries within the last eight months, with zero mortality rate.
The 300 bedded cardiac hospital was made in collaboration with the Government of Sindh, in order to provide authentic cardiovascular services to the people of Sindh, absolutely free of cost.
Ms Azra further informed that NICVD Sukkur follows international standard in terms of healthcare and is providing all basic and major cardiac healthcare services, including cardiac emergency, consulting clinics, interventional cardiology and critical care for the population of Sukkur and its peripheries.
