KARACHI- A six-member committee formed by Sindh health department to check level of chlorine in water being supplied to the citizenry has found that of the total 214 water samples collected by it from different parts of the city, 113 samples showed zero per cent chlorine, it emerged.
A report compiled by the committee said that the residents of Orangi, SITE and Malir towns might become victim of Naegleria fowleri as the water samples collected from these towns indicated a poor percentage of chlorine in the water being supplied to them.
