Health Card launched to provide quality care to common people: Imran Khan

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that the purpose of health card was to provide quality health care facilities to common people across the country.

In his Twitter message, Former prime minister Imran Khan said health card was introduced not only to provide a safety net to the majority of population but also planned to establish a network of health facilities all over Pakistan, especially in rural areas.

Chairman PTI further said that those areas where no one is ready to build hospitals due to lack of purchasing power of the private sector.

Earlier, former prime minister Imran Khan said in a statement that he strongly condemns the blocking of the Punjab Health Card Scheme.He said that health card scheme is a great blessing for people in life-threatening inflation.

The PTI chairman said that moreover, due to this project, the private sector was going through the process of establishing hospitals in rural areas.

Imran Khan had further said that the entire project was praised by the international health magazine "Lancet", the termination of this project reflects the brutality of these two family groups.

It should be noted that in view of economic challenges, the federal government has stopped Punjab's 400 billion rupees health insurance scheme in its current form.
