Wi-tribe internet pledges 5% of all billings as donation to Shaukat Khanum

Wi-tribe – one of the leading internet service provider in Pakistan has announced that with the assistance from their customers they will be making a sizeable donation (five percent of customer’s bill) to Shoukat Khanam Memorial Hospital.

It is estimated that more than 100,000 people die yearly from cancer in Pakistan, and Shoukat Khanam Memorial Hospital gives financial support to at least 75 percent of their patients making it the biggest cancer charity hospital in Pakistan.

It is indeed a breath of fresh air that in this era of corporate greed and cost cutting companies like Wi-tribe not only understands and acts upon the ethics of corporate social responsibility, but engages their customers and encourages them to act in such a noble cause.

This was stated by Wasim Ahmed, CEO of wi-tribe while speaking at a ceremony held in Islamabad on Thursday to hand over the cheque of donation to officials of SKMH. The cheque for the donation was handed over to Dr Faisal Sultan the CEO of SKMH by Muhammad Ali Butt Director Consumer Sales wi-tribe during the ceremony.

“We strongly believe in the philosophy of corporate social responsibility and sharing the revenues with those members of our society who are in dire need of assistance, and we take great pride in our vision of rewarding our customer’s loyalty whether it be through exquisite service, exclusive incentives or by working together with our customers for the betterment of our society,” added Wasim Ahmed, CEO Wi-tribe.
