UNITED KINGDOM: Salmonella outbreaks have been linked to more Kinder Surprise chocolate egg products in the UK.

Eating 20g or three-pack eggs with best before dates between July 11 and October 7 of 2022 has been prohibited by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

Additionally, the 150-gram Easter egg hunt kits, 75-gram Kinder Mini eggs, and 200-gram Kinder schokobons have been recalled.

Moreover, they mentioned that Easter is just around the corner, which is a time when Kinder Surprise eggs typically enjoy a sales surge.

There was only one Belgian facility that created all of the impacted sweets.

To be extra safe, Ferrero, the company that makes Kinder chocolates, has voluntarily expanded the voluntary recall to include items in the UK and Ireland with "best before" dates ranging from April 20, 2022, to August 21, 2022.

No Kinder goods have tested positive for salmonella, but the chocolate company says it takes the issue "very seriously."
