KARACHI: The first PRICE Retreat 2022 has been arranged by the Pakistan Registry of Intensive Care (PRICE).
Prof Dr Madiha Hashmi, Head of the Critical Care Medicine Department at Ziauddin University, hosted the event.
This retreat aims to encourage collaboration with key partners in the implementation and training of Intensive CARE. PRICE seeks to enhance the quality of critical care in the region by aiding specific sites in utilizing the registry and enhancing the quality of life of ICU patients.
Important international collaborators have travelled to Pakistan to participate in seminars and training on the region's critical care.
International attendees included Anthony Afum and Adjei Awuah from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and ISARIC, Miranda Odam and Abigail Beane from the University of Edinburgh, Nina Jamieson from Oxford University and ISARIC, and Arshad Taqi from Kaul Associate.
In addition to international collaborators, there were Pakistani accomplices from Peshawar, Lahore, Sukkur, Islamabad, and the entire country. Through seminars and training, the global key partners shared their knowledge with senior and junior doctors and academics at Ziauddin University.
