PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has announced a 12-day long vaccination campaign against measles and Rubella in D.I. Khan district said a recently issued official handout.
Dr Arif Mahmood, the District Health Officer (DHO) for Dera, has said that the campaign will be carried out from November 15th to November 27th, 2021. Over 20 supervisors and medical officers would be appointed for 49 union councils of the district.
During this campaign, 171,412 children would be vaccinated in the district. Since 2018, 90 children have been affected by measles and Rubella.
The DHO has urged all sections of society, including clerics, teachers, the trading community and civilians alike, to extend their support to the campaign in order to protect their district from deadly diseases like Measles and Rubella.
