KPK fires 8 doctors for using fraudulent transfer orders

PESHAWAR: After terminating the contracts of eight doctors for fraudulently posting themselves, the health department decided to take legal action against them by referring their cases to the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).

"Other reports of this nature are being thoroughly investigated as well. Muhammad Tahir Orakzai, Secretary, Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) said. He added a process of re-verification of office directions has begun, and others will face action.

He claimed that both department employees and outsiders carried out the conduct of issuing bogus instructions without the department's knowledge. 

A comprehensive re-verification of all departmental orders has been ordered by the department's director of the Independent Monitoring Unit (IMU), according to Muhammad Tahir. 

Corruption and illegal acts would not be tolerated, and all staff will be given equal opportunities for promotion and transfer, he insisted.
