KARACHI: Pakistan is set to make history with the launch of its first-ever medical documentary web series, Precision Meets Purpose: Revolutionizing Surgery in Pakistan, which will premiere at the Global Robotic Surgery Symposium hosted by Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) on February 14–15, 2025.

This pioneering web series, produced by Azadfilm in collaboration with SIUT’s Robotic Surgery Department, delves into the transformative impact of robotic-assisted procedures on Pakistan’s medical landscape. The project aims to educate both healthcare professionals and the public on advanced surgical innovations, enhanced precision, and improved patient outcomes.

With Pakistan’s population surpassing 250 million, the demand for accessible, high-quality healthcare has never been greater. SIUT, a regional leader in robotic surgery, continues to spearhead cutting-edge medical advancements, ensuring better treatment options for patients while keeping the cost of robotic-assisted surgeries affordable and widely available.

The documentary is conceptualized by Saima Saleem, directed by Jami, and executive-produced by Dr. Irfan Rizvi. The premiere at SIUT’s symposium will feature leading robotic surgery experts, offering an exclusive glimpse into the future of surgical precision and technology in Pakistan.
