KARACHI: Academic activities across Sindh's public universities would be suspended on Thursday at the request of the Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA) due to meddling by secretary boards and universities.

At the announcement of the boycott of classes, Professor Ikhtiyar, a member of FAPUASA, the provincial secretary of universities, had been interfering with university activities.

"He should resign," he remarked, adding that they are caught between the rulings of the central and provincial HECs and the secretaries of provincial institutions. According to the professor, if their demand to dismiss the secretary is not met by Wednesday, they would boycott classes on Thursday.
