Child cancer awareness activist visits KPC

KARACHI: Ethan Ruwi Guo, a young Chinese American on a solo journey to all seven continents to raise awareness for childhood cancer research, visited the Karachi Press Club on Thursday to brief the media about his mission.
Guo, who began his journey in May this year, has already made numerous overnight stops across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. His ambitious plan includes covering 80,000 kilometers over 100 days with stops in 60 countries.
Upon his arrival at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on Wednesday, Guo was warmly welcomed by Muhammad Farrukh Bashir, Zeeshan Ahmed, Noor Akthar, Laiq Ahmed, Muhammad Noman Bashir, and Muhammad Imran. After landing, he visited the Indus Hospital in Korangi, where he was pleased to see the hospital providing free medical treatment to thousands of patients. Guo plans to visit additional hospitals in Karachi on Friday.
His next destinations include Mumbai, followed by a tour of East Asian countries and then Australia. During his press briefing, Guo emphasized that his solo flight aims to spotlight the increasing incidence of childhood cancer and the need for continued research and support.
