QUETTA: A new case of Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) has been reported in Quetta. Rohullah, a 30-year-old resident of Hazara Town, has been diagnosed with the disease. He has been admitted to the isolation ward at Fatima Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
This case marks the 27th instance of Congo fever in Balochistan this year. Tragically, five people have already succumbed to the virus in the region. The hospital administration is taking stringent measures to ensure the patient’s isolation and proper care.
