Artistic Milliners issues statement on rape case

KARACHI: Various individuals were previously posting about the rape incident at Artistic Milliners (Pvt) Ltd. However, after a police investigation, no evidence of rape was found. Artistic Milliners has now issued an official statement regarding the matter. 

According to the statement, Artistic Milliners (Pvt) Ltd strongly opposed the circulating of false information about them and warned the public to be careful. Artistic Milliners (Pvt) Ltd reported that they were being blackmailed by a third party, which they reported to the FIA's Cyber Crime Wing.

Previously, On September 6, 2022, social media posts, videos, and images of the gang rape crime in Korangi unit 4 unexpectedly appeared.

However, according to the Korangi SSP, SDPO Korangi launched an investigation and determined that the charges were made by a bogus Facebook channel named "Dhoom Plus" in an attempt to tarnish the image of Artistic Milliners (Pvt) Ltd. In a letter to the secretary of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), the Korangi SSP stated that Sagir Buledi, a journalist and member of the Sindh Sajagi Labour Federation who operates a bogus Dhoom + channel on Facebook, was attempting to smear the reputation of the firm.
