KARACHI: Jinnah Sindh Medical University Diagnostic Laboratory and Blood Bank have introduced a urea breath test facility at discounted rates to diagnose helicobacter bacteria under the directives of Vice-Chancellor Professor Amjad Siraj Memon.
In this regard, Vice Chancellor JSMU Professor Amjad Siraj Memon said that the launch of the H. Pylori test facility would provide disease-affected people with effective and immediate test results. He added that JSMU Laboratory has been providing test facilities per international standards, ensuring accuracy and affordable charges for patients.
‘To curb the alarming situation of dengue patients in the country and provide relief to flood-affected people, JSMU Lab was offering dengue, malaria and platelets tests at the rates announced by Healthcare Commission to people from far-flung areas,’ added In charge JSMU Lab and Associate Professor Dr Naveed-uz-Zafar.
JSMU Lab Manager Hasnain Abbas said that during the last 3 months, 18,000 people visited the JSMU laboratory, of which 2,300 people were tested for dengue and 1,600 were tested for malaria.
Jinnah Sindh Medical University Diagnostic Laboratory and Blood Bank retained its ISO certification 9001:2015 for 2021-2024 by the International Organization of Standardization.
