Dr Irfan Rizvi, who introduced the various components of the symposium on both days, stated that robotic surgery represents a paradigm change from cutting-edge to standard care.
Dr Aamir Jafarey of the CBEC, one of the other speakers in the concluding session, spoke on ethical issues in this region.
Dr Aimal Khan, a native of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a colorectal surgeon at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in the United States, emphasized the use of robotic surgery in the large intestine.
During the final session, a general assembly meeting was convened to decide the formation of the Pakistan Society of Robotic Surgery.
