Two detained as infant dies at private hospital

KARACHI: Police detained a doctor and hospital administrator as an infant girl died at a private hospital here, with her family alleging medical negligence.
Following the infant’s death, her family protested vehemently, stating that the child had been admitted to the hospital at 10am for dehydration. 
According to the family, a wrong injection was administered to the girl, and they were not informed of her death until two hours later. The doctor involved in the incident reportedly fled the scene.
In response to the family's complaint, police have detained both the doctor and the hospital administrator for further investigation.
