HEC Chairman Dr. Tariq Banuri’s Vision for Higher Education

Higher Education Commission’s new Chairman, Dr. Tariq Banuri has decided to formulate new and improved measures to enhance our higher education system and to improve Pakistani universities’ global rankings. He discussed upon improving the faculty members and their ways of teaching, in order to provide quality education.

The Government of Pakistan has allocated funds for higher education but unfortunately, the results didn’t seem pleasing. Looking at the curriculum, there is less or absolutely no focus on research and development, leading to compromised researches full of plagiarism, more or less of zero value. Dr. Banuri has emphasized upon improving the HEC and other associated relevant bodies, in-charge of implementing educational improvements, to fulfill their duties with utmost dedication.

Officials of Higher Education Commission have lauded the ideas submitted by the Chairman HEC, and they all strongly believe in his vision of making Pakistan’s higher education system one of the best.
