Orders issued to make Khairpur Medical College functional

KARACHI- The government of Sindh issued directives to the relevant authorities to make Khairpur Medical College (KMC) functional within two months.

The Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah also issued orders to the management of the College to expedite the procedure and get the college registered with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council within ten days.

As per Sindh Health and Law departments and college management the admission policy will be completed within fifteen days and the college will invite applications for the admission by February 15, 2015. This college is part of the was a priority scheme launched in 2012 with its estimated cost of Rs 795 million and the last remaining amount of Rs 433 million has also been released against this scheme with a view to enable the management to make the scheme complete and functional, informed CM.

He also directed the authorities to ensure that 50 percent seats be reserved for female students in the education policy.

The Principal of KM College Khairpurin his briefing confirmed that over 95 percent works is already complete and the remaining work will be done within few weeks.

He said faculty of the college has also been hired and now the college was ready to start functioning and he plans to invite PMDC inspection team within 10 days to get the college registered immediately.
