JSMU, JPMC sign MoU on educational collaboration 

KARACHI: Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in medical education and training.

The MoU signing ceremony, held at JSMU, marks a significant step toward improving the quality of teaching activities at JPMC.

The MoU was signed by JPMC Executive Director Prof. Shahid Rasul and JSMU Registrar Dr. Azam Khan. Dean of Medicine and Principal of Sindh Medical College Prof. Masroor Ahmed and Dean of Basic Medical Sciences Prof Muhammad Azhar Mughal witnessed the signing.

Under this agreement, JSMU will provide faculty members to JPMC, addressing existing gaps in educational delivery and elevating the standards of medical education.

Vice Chancellor of JSMU, Prof. Amjad Siraj Memon, emphasized that the MoU is a significant step toward enhancing the quality of medical education and training, fostering collaboration, and addressing existing gaps in teaching activities.

He highlighted the importance of such partnerships in advancing the educational landscape and improving healthcare services in the region.

Prominent figures from both institutions attended the signing ceremony, including Principal SIOHS Prof Zubair Abbasi, Prof Yawar Abidi, Director of Human Resources Dr. Rahat Naz, Dr. Yahya Khan, Deputy Executive Director JPMC, Dr. Mohammad Suleman, Joint Executive Director JPMC, Dr. Nausheen Rauf, Deputy Director JPMC, and Dr. Kausar, Professor of Physiology at JPMC.

This MoU represents a shared vision of JSMU and JPMC to strengthen their collaborative efforts, leveraging each institution's strengths to benefit students and patients alike.

The partnership is expected to facilitate enhanced learning experiences, improved patient care, and innovative research initiatives.
